Recently a fashion show themed on“the Fashion Trend along the New Silk Road” has been co-held by the Confucius Institute and the Faculty of Natural Science and Engineering of University of Ljubljana in Slovenia and Shanghai Sanda University.
Over 50 pieces of works were exhibited in this fashion show, including excellent graduation works from Chinese and Slovenian students, 7 designs co-accomplished by students of both countries and the homespun clothes from Langxia, which has been listed as China’s non-tangible cultural heritage.
Through this fashion show, audience from home and abroad had the chance to appreciate the glamour of contemporary Chinese art, and they were also able to have a closer look at Langxia homespun clothes. Clothes co-designed by students of both countries have been fully recognized and praised.
Xie Duquan, Dean of the Confucius Institute of University of Ljubljana, showed that their Institute has been working as a bridge for the communication and cooperation between students of two countries.
More than 200 people attended the fashion show, including Wu Dongmei from Chinese Embassy in Slovenia, Vice President Matt zsuppan from University of Ljubljana and people in the fashion industry.
